ABOUT
ME!
Hi, I’m Walker Hays—a comedian, actress, and writer based in Atlanta, with frequent flyer status to my beloved NYC, where I still call New York Comedy Club home. You may have caught me onstage at festivals from D.C. to L.A., or on tours like “The Underwear Comedy Party” (yes, it’s exactly what you think) and the Spanish “Refried Comedy” (diversity hire here!). I’ve played clubs like the Improv, Laugh Factory, Gotham, Stand Up NY, and pretty much anywhere with a working mic and decent chicken tenders.
I created the wildly popular Fck, Marry, Kill show because nothing tests your comedic reflexes like ranking strangers in front of a live audience. I’ve also written for other comics’ late-night appearances—because I love seeing my jokes on TV, even if someone else gets the hair and makeup.
On screen, I’ve popped up on Fox, MTV, NBC, and Discovery—basically every channel you’ve flipped past looking for Bravo. I just wrapped roles in two pilots, starred as the funny lead in Tri (a film about triathletes and how I am aggressively not one), and starred in the alien-noir cult web series Milgram & The Fastwalkers. It wasn’t comedic but my character often wakes up in strange places so it’s similar to standup.
I love sports, both playing and yelling competitively at actual athletes, traveling for “research,” and chasing the perfect martini. I kiss all the dogs (that consent), practice Nichiren Buddhism, and carry hot sauce in my purse like a woman with priorities.
I’m not like all the other comics in their 20’s, mainly cause I’m in my forties. My writing credits span over a decade and I’ve turned every bad gig, weird audition, and chaotic life twist into material that’s relatable and/or ridiculous. I’ve been around long enough to know when to leave a party and when to punch up a tag. Comedy gets better with time—and I’m just getting started.
